About Me
I became infatuated with design after visiting the Graphic Design program at Warren Tech High School in Golden, Colorado. After attending the two-year program as a Junior and Senior in high school, I transitioned to the Communication Design program at Metropolitan State University, where I graduated with my Bachelor of Fine Arts.

If I could have it my way, I would be an aficionado in every creative medium imaginable. I've done technical theater, music, design, and have developed a strong inclination towards front-end web design and development. On the side, I'm learning how to crochet and woodwork. If there's something to be made, I want to be a part of it.

For this reason, I consider myself to be a multidisciplinary designer. No artistic approach is off the table, so long as it communicates what it needs to. I believe flexibility is key to creating impactful visual narrative. I love to learn, create, and discover, and hope to take these passions forward into my career.
Design Philosophy
What has always inspired me about design is that it can't exist in a vacuum. Design is eternally in collaboration with all areas of culture, industry, politics, and science; a cycle of critique, pivot, execute, and observe.

My approach to design will always be one of discovery. I believe every design project deserves an approach from a perspective of curiosity. What do we need to know in order to make a design work? How do we learn? How do we get it done? These are the kinds of questions that I seek to find answers to, and what I believe all thoughtful design seeks to answer.

In my work I'm always trying to learn something new about other disciplines, as I believe it extends my ability to broaden my creative reach.  New audience considerations are taken into account with each project, like Zeromile or It’s Time to Talk, my thesis project encouraging community action to reduce incidence of childhood sexual abuse. Are we speaking to parents or college students? What do each of these groups of people care about most? By understanding other disciplines, you better understand people, and then you understand how to best reach them.

I believe that these efforts to achieve understanding in my designs are ultimately my method of serving a broader community, encouraging self-realization, and connecting with others.
